雅思考试中定位词很重要，尤其对于填空题尤为重要。填空题中，定位词一般出现在题目空格前，可以帮助我们快速锁定答案，但是也有出现定位词在答案之后的情况，我们称之为信息后置。
环球教育（原环球雅思）上海学校叶小莹老师在这篇文章主要分析下雅思考试中填空题中的信息后置情况。
首先比较简单的s1开始，C3-T2-S1中的学术主题的表格，题目如下：
Meet the Principal and staff
Talk by 2_____
Talk by 3______
很多同学在这两道题中都以"talk"或者"by"为定位词，等着"talk"或者"by"结果发现答案在talk前面出现，出现这种情况要抓住这两题前面的principal来解题，此题的原文为"Yes, so, the Principle's talk will last about fifteen minutes and then the Director of Studies will talk to you … the Student Adviser will tell you about the various services and activities we offer to students."
"by" 这个词一般用于被动态，上面s1填空题比较简单，然而在C4-T1-S2中"by"的考察难度略大，题目是The metal industry was established at Riverside Village by ______ who lived in the area.
这一题相对于上面的s1难度增加的原因在于题干中的词汇难度增加，并且考点词"craftsmen"也是个难词。
此题也是定位词在前，答案在后的情况，原文为"At that time, local craftsmen first built an iron forge just behind the village here, on the bend in the river."
同理，如果等着 "metal industry", "establish"，"Riverside Village", "by"这些词，也等不到答案，题目中的"metal industry"跟原文中的"an iron forge"，同时，题目中的"was established"跟原文中的 "built"替换，这里的"by"隐含主被动关系的替换，同学在备考时候要警惕"by"的用法。
C5-T2-S3中的信息表格填空题，也有个很细微的信息后置情况，题目是"things to do differently in future: make efforts to 29____ with the camera."答案是"experiment"，如果同学们做题等着定位词"make efforts to" 的话就很容易错过正确答案。
听力原文为"We should have tried to experiment more with the camera."C5-T3-S3里的Feedback Form也是同样的情况。在"Suggestions for improvement"一栏里的题目如下"Too much work in 25____ second half of the course-could be more evenly balanced."
听力原文为"I thought it was going to be really easy and then all of a sudden in the second half the course we got a whole load of work, reading to do and essays and things."这个section里面的29题也是一样："Too much 29 ____ written work"，答案为"work"，听力原文为"Yeah, but I am not sure about the written work. One thing I think is that there is just too much, it is really stressful."
以上这些信息后置的题目都比较简单，因为定位词汇和考点词都属于大家熟悉的词汇，但有的时候遇到不熟悉的考点词或者复杂的语法结构替换时候，题型难度就会明显加大。
比如C5-T1-S4"Money and saving"中的36和37题，难度明显高于前面任何例子。题目是"Research indicates that many women only think about their financial future when a 36_____ occurs. "可以根据a预测此题答案为一个可数名词单数形式，但是如果把空格前面的词作为定位词，也很容易遗漏答案。
紧跟后面一题又是信息后置，"This is the worst time to make decisions. It is best for women to start thinking pensions when they are in their 37______."很多同学这两道题都无法根据定位次捕捉到考点词，原因就在于答案跟原文不仅有相应的同义替换，连句子的语法结构都改变了。
这两道题的听力原文是"The research indicates that at present for women it takes a crisis to make them think about their future financial situation. But of course this is the worst time for anyone to make important decisions. Women today need to look ahead, think ahead-not wait until they are under pressure. Even women in their early twenties need to think about pensions, for example……."
信息后置类的题目不仅仅考察同义词的替换，有时候连句子结构也会做相应的改变，这里句子结构包括主被动的转换，时间状语从句主句从句顺序的调换等，遇到这些情况，同学们要在读题的时候格外小心，预判能力极其重要。
